A Rose for Emily by William Faulkner

Honestly, at first I thought the story would revolve around a rose given to Emily, but I was wrong. This was the first William Faulkner short stories I have read. After reading it, it was a good story. It shows that Emily was mentally ill and living in her own world. Also, having a father basically controlling her entire life to do that or don't do that. After her father dies, it seems to be that life of having her father ruling her is the only life she has. Which then leads  Emily to be controlling of her life too. By having Homer killed and keeping him in a room so she can be with him forever. Now I know that  Emily is a necrophilia and it's very creepy. I would recommend this to any who likes Gothic themed story or one who enjoys a short story.
